Back in Paris

Coolest subway station sign. There are only a few left like this.

 I am on the Isle in the middle of the Seine where Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle and other buildings sit.

Police. Makes me hear The Pink Panther theme music. Inspector Clouseau?

 

From the government building you can see the exterior work being done on Saint Chapelle.

Took the 2pm tour for English speakers.

The private rooms hold little original furnishings.

So much was taken by peasants in the Revolution.

But some is slowly being returned.

Still interesting to see.

And to imagine life there.
