Bacharach vineyards and church

It was a good work out climbing up the steep hillside. 

The slate all over the ground was a surprise. 

From the hillside you could easily look across to view the church from a bird's eye level.

They had had services that day before I arrived. Happily it was still open.

I was surprised to see candles and offerings like in a Catholic Church.

Nice to have history in English too!

Sad Reality that they have to have their hymnals locked up.

Sunday along the Rhine

Left Frankfort by train to Mainz. Slower and older trains take you out to the towns along the Rhine River.

Waited here for the boat. Explored a bit while waiting.

The town of Bacharach had lots to see.

Frankfort, Germany

What is not to love about this city? My Marriott had me on the subway line and tram line to take me to the train station further down a long avenue.

I loved this nail salon- US nail salon.

I would walk to the subway station by way of this park. I could see this park from my hotel room window many stories up.

Isn't it cool the way they trim the trees?

And I love being led up the stairs by following the colorful candy wrappers!
